Last month, BuildLabs had the privilege of hosting its inaugural Open House for Architects at BuildLabs, welcoming over a dozen talented architects and builders, many of whom traveled from across the country to join us. The day was an opportunity to highlight how our tech-driven, proprietary BuildLabs Method is revolutionizing the construction process. Moreover, it show-cases how our BuildLabs Pro arm focusing on core and shell delivery can support architects and multiple stakeholders across the building process.
Despite the November rain, it didn’t disappoint. We kicked off the tour at our Bellport, NY job site, where the foundation for a 12,000-square-foot modern waterfront home was set, and preparations were underway for the assembly of the interior walls and steel framework. Though still in its early stages, the site offered a first-hand look at how our advanced Building Information Modeling (BIM) system pre-determines the exact connection points of each ele-ment, enabling a smoother, faster assembly process.
After a classic seafood lunch at Cowfish in Hampton Bays — where the choice of hot cocoa out-paced iced tea — we continued the tour with a visit to a nearly completed project in Hampton Bays, also direct waterfront. There they saw in real terms how our CNC machines have already pre-cut every component, ensuring precision and efficiency on-site. Laser tachymeter technolo-gy translates these connection points directly to the job site and our method ensure that each element arrives ready to be seamlessly assembled. This brings the project to life with impecca-ble teamwork and accuracy.
The result of all the above? A streamlined process that saves both time and money—allowing all architectural and building firms to scale while ensuring exceptional quality.
Last stop was our office in Bridgehampton; there we took a deep dive into the BuildLabs process for a presentation showcasing our completed projects, discussing how we approach each build.
Although the weather was not on our side, the architects’ engagement and thoughtful questions helped us confirm our proof of concept. It ensured our readiness to team up with the best archi-tectural firms across the country, and meet the demands of today’s homebuyers.
